Book of Revelations was most definitely written for Christians and is Holy scripture.
I believe that is was used to convey a message from one man(author) to many christians using symbolic words as a code to pass "the message" on secretly due to the duress christians were under at that time. And that the meanings of the symbolic words were widely understand and known to christians of the biblical times.
I do believe that all biblical prophesy has been complete.
There will be an "end" but that the intent of Revelations is not to convey understanding of "our" future, but rather events, circumstances and threats to the christians of the time revelations was written.

When I think about Revelations Coonhound, I have to reflect on the direction he gives me too. Does he have me there, does he feel this is for me, or does he feel this is for me right now. I had been there, and I prayed for him to be with me and help me to understand his meaning in the word. But, I do not feel a need to go there, but maybe a bit of a stirring lately.
My point is, just as in the OT, we were given all this genealogy. Why? God sent Jesus to us later who told us, more or less that it was unimportant, why do you get lost in it. The truth is, he was sent to save us.
Is it really important that we know everything? He knows we are individuals, and he treats us as individuals. If we let him guide us as individuals, we walk with him. I firmly believe and FEEL a personal relationship with him. I think it is necessary to know him.
I know I have gone about my way in life here trying to make it better, and actually putting him on the back burner. I also realize this hurts him. But when I come back he still loves me, and I am then stronger. I wonder sometimes if that is not a lesson from him to us too. No matter what we do, if we come back to him, he is still there for us if we take of him.

Furthermore, I think it' grotesque that you could embrace such a God and call him good. It's far, far worse, to my way of thinking, than a German during WWII worshiping Hitler, or a Russian during the days of Stalin worshiping Stalin. Those guys don't compare with the evil of a God who burns people forever in his torture chamber just because they didn't obey him, often because they didn't even know he exists.
Now, when he can blame Government as an equivalent to Godliness, how can he contradict and say the Government here has done no harm. Is this not just more Satanic lies and ways to tear down the walls of our Christian family and bring about:

While he falsely says he feels Hitler and Stallin were evil, it is trickery. He uses this to defame our Lord and God. Yet on the other hand, he denies that any current government would do such horrible things! Why, because he would like everyone to ignore it, and allow it to grow, and see the pain and affliction it will cause as written.
