I came here for understanding at first and also to express how I felt about this man kidnapping my friend and what he had done to her for those 18 years... I myself got caught up in expressing my opinion as many others have in here... I read silently for a long time before I started to post.. One thing consistant is that one person here continues to rip apart every single persons post causing strife not my subject of 9/11.. If you can talk about religion you can talk about 9/11.. Although pointing out these are taboo subjects to talk about anyways as they always cause strife in some way.. Hence Religion and Politics.. The arguing back and fourth is defeating the purpose of my cause and that I have realized! I must continue on to reach people that would like to talk about these things as there are MANY that do and see it as a viable cause and viable issues and actually have devoted there lives to. Brenda, I am sorry I do not have anything to ask of you right now regarding 9/11, I have been busy all day. Eventually I am sure I will. I am sorry to see you go, but, I certainly understand your feelings and how you derived at this.
There is a world out there that needs your information. I think it is a good idea for you to go and spread the word from blog to blog. I hope I expressed my feelings on this fairly clearly the other day. You are not wrong. The government is not telling us everything. The buildings were imploded, and there was chemical weapons involved. Whether they were on the planes (likely) or in the buildings, they most certainly were. Let the blind egomaniacs be blind. I don't care. I prayed for a couple of hours last night and today again, and, yes, I prayed for forgiveness to God in Jesus' name. I prayed because I have a lot of contempt for these people and I had to fight from saying what I thought should happen to them to learn their lesson from 9/11, as well as the crap they have done to people in this blog.
The point is Brenda, you cannot get these people to see because they are so hell bent on being mean, pure and simple mean and for all the reasons I have stated. Have to feel better about themselves tearing others down. Small. I have seriously given it to God and the law.
They most certainly have not scared us off. We will continue to post news and updates on this blog regarding pedophile crime and on the case against the Garridos.
I do hope you come and check in once in a while just in case I do have a question on my 9/11 studies, but Jeff brings up a point. You may want to created your own blog and study point. You may need to go around and gather interest from others in other blogs first, but I know your heart and it is a good cause, so I know this is something you would probably rather be interested in than hanging around this bullshit.

Kids do say the darnedest things. And it is quite possible that the boy did get confused.
One thing that stood out to me in one of the interviews, was when the Dad was speaking he never mentioned how frantic he was that he had no idea where his son was, during the search.
But of course, right now he is in self-defend mode. So that could be why he didnt mention that. I just pictured myself on some of the questions as saying, "My God! My son was missing!! I have been delirious with fear, and now this?? I am just so elated to know he is safe. Do and think what you will"

Pediatrician Found Guilty On All Sex Charges.
HAMILTON, Ohio -- A Hamilton pediatrician could spend the rest of his life behind bars after a jury found him guilty of sex crimes involving former patients.
A jury has found Dr. Mark Blankenburg guilty of 16 sex charges involving patients. The charges include gross sexual imposition and corruption of a minor.
"Every time I heard 'guilty,' I felt a jolt go through me," said one of the victims who testified in the trial.
The victim doesn't want his name published. He says, "This is a big part of my life I can put behind me and start over."
He says he reported what was going on because now he's a father. "What was I going to tell my kid I do for money? I take money from a child molester," he said.
Blankenburg hugged his twin brother, Scott, who's facing similar sex charges, as well as his sister and father before he was handcuffed and taken to jail. Scott Blankenburg was out on bond.
Despite the verdict, some former patients are still backing Blankenburg.
"I know deep down he didn't do it. I know the kind of person he is," said Sean Stockstill, 23. He says Blankenburg never abused him, and Blankenburg spent a lot of time with his family.
Judge Keith Speath will rule in the coming days or weeks on drug and bribery charges. The victims testified that Blankenburg gave them drugs and money to keep quiet.
A sentencing date has not been set. Blankenburg could spend the rest of his life in prison.
"Mark Blankenburg damaged a lot of lives, and we're now in a position where he won't be able to do that for a long time to come," said Assistant Prosecutor Jason Phillabaum.
Blankenburg is also facing child porn charges. A trial date for those accusations is not set.
Dr. Scott Blankenburg faces two dozen similar charges over allegedly using his Fairfield medical practice to arrange sexual encounters with teenage boys who were his patients. He goes to trial this spring.

I have been thinking about the blog and Nagarjuna. Alot of things have gone through my mind.
Nagarjuna, I think that when people say the gruesome things to the Garridos, they are more or less hoping the Garridos gets worse than a slap on the wrist, and also, more punishment than what he made Ms. Dugard go through.
Then I thought about my Dad. I remember wishing a train would run him over. But if that would have happened, I would have died inside. I remember wishing many things would happen to him, but if they happened, I wouldnt want that anymore. I just wanted him to stop being so mean to me.
My boys do the same as some of the persons in this blog have. Their brother does something to them, and they hope that brother dies. They hope the neighbors pit bull bites their face off, etc. etc. I always ask that child, "Do you really want that to happen? Maybe you want to see it happen. Come on, lets all go throw brother in the neighbors yard with the dog. Come on!!" They always stop and rethink what they said after that.
I realize that the emotions one would feel for a stranger is far different than ones own family member. But the reactions are the same when someone does hurtful things, I guess. Garrido just did more monstrous things, so therefore, people had to bring out the most monstrous punishments they could think of to fit his crime.
"Jeff," you, Freak, and Cecil have this strange penchant for reposting the same comments over and over and over again. In psychological parlance, this is called perseveration. You guy(s) seem to have a particularly bad case of it. You really should see someone about this. Maybe there's a psychotropic drug that could "control" it.

A smiling, seemingly happy Jaycee Dugard graces the cover of upcoming issue of People Magazine as a sign that after 18 years in captivity, life is finally getting back to normal.
On the cover of the magazine, which hits newsstands Friday, a smiling Dugard with long auburn tresses looks remarkably like the age-progression image forensic artists at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children created to help in the search for the missing woman.
Though Dugard and the two children she had with her alleged kidnapper, Philip Garrido, ultimately were rescued thanks more to the quick thinking of a police officer who met the suspect in August than to the image, similar age-progression photos have been instrumental in the recovery of more than 900 missing children.
"The real photo of Jaycee and the age-progression are remarkably similar considering it's been 18 years," said Ernie Allen, president of the center.
Allen called the process by which forensic artists create digital versions of what a person might look like years after they went missing "half art and half science."

The NCMEC has been creating digital age-progressions of missing children since 1989, because, Allen said, "the public has a hard time imagining what a two-year-old might look like at six or eight years old and these images help the public recognize and identify missing children who have gotten older."
The center, which works in conjunction with the FBI and distributes the age-progression images through thousands of police departments and more than 400 private distributors that plaster the images on milk cartons, mass mailings and in well-trafficked public areas like Wal-Mart stores.
Forensic artists create a composite image using photos of the missing child, photos of the child's parents when they were the age the child would be today, images of the child's siblings and a vast database of 35,000 images of children of all races and ages.

This morning People magazine revealed its new cover featuring a photograph of a beaming Jaycee Dugard. The image of the 29-year-old Dugard is the first to be released to the public since she was was freed after spending the past 18 years in captivity and reunited with her family. A quote from Dugard accompanies the cover photo that says simply, "I'm so happy to be back with my family."
Friends and family members close to Dugard, who was not directly interviewed for the 10-page article in the issue hitting newsstands nationwide Friday, spoke to People magazine about her abduction, the years she spent imprisoned inside of a hidden encampment of tents and sheds, and the struggles she and her children, Angel, 15, and Starlet, 11, are having as they adjust to a normal life.
Erika Shulte, a Dugard family spokesperson, told Ann Curry of the "Today Show" that despite all they've been through, the Dugards are "very close and comfortable and happy." She added, "If you didn't know the circumstances, it would just seem like any other family." Shulte said that a therapist is using horseback riding as a way of helping Dugard and her daughters (both of whom were fathered by Dugard's captor, Phillip Garrido), assimilate into modern society.
Whether or not People paid for the cover photo, which was taken by a private photographer, is unknown. In an interview with the "Today Show"'s Matt Lauer, People's managing editor, Larry Hackett, would only say "We have bought photographs in the past ... I don't want to go into the details." Hackett added that Dugard and her mother, 50-year-old Terry Probyn, decided to grant the magazine permission to publish the photo as part of an effort to control the story of Dugard's abduction and release, a story that has garnered intense interest from the media and the general public.
Garrido kidnapped Dugard when she was waiting to catch the school bus near her family's home in South Lake Tahoe, California, on June 10, 1991, when she was just 11 years old. Dugard and her daughters were freed on August 26th of this year after an employee of University of California at Berkeley expressed concern for their safety to a campus police after Garrido and the children visited her office to inquire about holding a Christian event on the school's campus. The campus police then ran a background check on Garrido, became alarmed upon learning that he was on parole for rape and contacted his parole officer, who immediately called Garrido in for a meeting. Later in the day, Phillip Garrido and his wife Nancy showed up for the meeting with his parole officer with Dugard and her children, whose true identities were discovered by authorities after being separated from the Garridos. Jaycee Dugard and her children were reunited with her family the next day, while Phillip and Nancy Garrido were taken into custody and remain in jail on charges of kidnapping and various other crimes. Additionally, Phillip Garrido is being investigated for his possible involvement in a string of unsolved murders in the area.

I havent seen the age-progression composite and Jaycee's actual picture together. I actually only seen Jaycee's People magazine picture one time.

Yes, Nagarjuna, I understand. I also spoke out about the things that were said here. I couldnt believe that people could develop these ideas in their minds, let alone form them into words. I hope these people were recalling these gruesome ideas from viewing televison or movies, and not conjuring them up from their own brains.
But mostly I was concerned about how many times people had "yelled" at Garrido for 'raping these girls, destroying their lives' etc. My only thought was that the Garridos will not receive these messages, but rather, the girls themselves might be the ones to read the comments here.
And when I mentioned that in one of my comments, I was told by one person that the girls NEED TO SEE how terrible that man is, and how horrible their lives have been. Makes sense, huh? I do not see how the girls would be happy to know that the world thinks they have lived so horribly. Kind of negative, if you ask me.

Denise, you reinforce a point I argued early on here. My point was that sexual abuse of children is something we as a society cannot tolerate. On the other hand, if we overreact to it the way you describe and call it such an awful, disgustingly repulsive, monstrous thing that destroys children's lives, how does it REALLY help the child victims to hear that their lives have been destroyed by these awful, disgustingly repulsive, monstrous acts, especially when they may have derived some involuntary pleasure from some of them? That was my point, Nag. About the girls having to read about what a horrible life they had, being raped and tortured, etc. etc. When really, the life they have lived with the Garridos is one in which they knew as being a family. And I suspect that it is quite possible that many people are way off base with some of their ideas.
I think it is a bad feeling when you see the world misconstruing the truths of your life. I keep imagining the girls reading in shock here. "What? Oh my Gosh!! I was never raped!! Why are they saying I was raped?? My childhood was shit?? What?? That is NOT true!!"
Or this one: "Oh my Gosh. :( (heart sinking) These people know everything about me being raped. Although, the way things have occurred with Jaycees life should have never happened, they did happen. And Jaycee did better with her children apparently, than alot of parents have done in "normal" society. She could not have done it, if Garrido had not allowed her to. And also, I thank God that Jaycee is alive. For whatever sick reason Garrido had, she is alive. Thank you, Jesus.

Being raped is not something most persons wish to discuss openly about. There is much confusion of emotions, shame, guilt, pain. Many rapes or child molestations do not even get reported because of all of the confusing thoughts and fear that rape causes.
Even speaking about sex with your own children is hard for some people to do.
Yet, the entire world feels they have the right to speak about these peoples personal lives so freely. Not to mention, that there is no proof of half of the things that people have said about the case.

What is the importance of being friends in a blog of discussion, really. I think what is more important is that we all be mature and stay focused on trying to read and understand clearly what we have read before we reply. And are there going to be any more important issues being discussed here? Because if not, I do not see a reason for me to return.
This blog was a great place to learn before it was invaded by foolish trolls with their chatroom behavior that flood the same idiotic crap literally all day.

I agree, Nagarjuna. That is what I was saying. It is not so much important that we are friends. But it is important that we can disagree with each others points and opinions in a civilized manner. And accept explanations of where maybe we had misinterpreted a passage without freaking out. lol
Also, when we disagree with someones opinions or statements, we can say so in a civilized and decent manner.
I am very happy to have met some of the most awesome people ever in this blog. And even more happy that I have developed a longer lasting friendship with them that extends outside of this blog.

Now, I think its fair to speculate that first, most of the world didn't care to look at his blog. Second, most who did review his blog didn't leave a comment. Last, not all the comments posted were malicious and disturbing.
So, you are focusing in on a very small group of people that is not representative of the "whole" population.
Now, these people that left "twisted" remarks concerning how they feel about PG, what they wish for him and so on...how come your "determinism" isn't taken into account when you "judge" them? Or when you speculate on how and why they reacted towards PG?
I mean many of these people could have had a horrible experience in some way with somebody along the lines or similiar to PG. So, perhaps the PG story and his blog sparked an emotion in them that had to be released. And they chose to do so on PG's PUBLIC blog. Perhaps things happened in theirlives that CAUSED their posts and made them "bound" to occur. It is a healthy release, to post your feelings, rather than ACT them out.
Why are you SO critical of these people for posting their feelings about a man that did a heck of a lot more than just POST his feelings, needs, wants and desires?
How do you know that PG did not welcome such opinions in hopes that it would help prove that he really wasn't sane?
Perhaps this blog was part of his plan to prove that he is not sane enough for trial or was never a sane person.

Well, Denise, I'd like to think that it isn't too late even now for me and anyone else so inclined to do exactly as you and I both have suggested. I know that I have disagreed with substantive civility AND sometimes with uncivil disagreeableness. I know that I can do better than I've done at times, especially when I've been attacked personally, and I suspect that we ALL can.
I think that's what we'd do best to focus on now.

If we can achieve peace or, at least, a cessation of active hostilities here, that would give me at least an infinitesimal dash of hope that we human beings can do it on a grander scale.

That's a great question, Coonhound. The short answer is that it WAS "taken into account."
Not as fully as I would have liked for it to be in terms of how I responded to these individuals, but I was able to understand on some level that they were saying things that they HAD to say at the time given who they were at the time. And I should like to add that I wasn't so much judging THEM as I was their actions or words by trying to create conditions that encouraged them to see things differently and that discouraged them from venting their vindictive hatred here.

I think more and more psychological research suggests that it's not necessarily "healthy" to indiscriminately "release" or vent emotions the way they were being vented here and that such release can, in fact, exacerbate the emotion and strengthen it. Nevertheless, as I continued to post here and look back on discussions I had with certain people here, it became increasingly evident to me that the people expressing their vindictive hatred toward Garrido here and toward anyone who urged understanding and compassion for him could very well have been directly or indirectly victimized by abuse, and I have taken this into account.
Having said THAT, I went back the other day and read some of my first posts here, and I don't think they were extraordinary harsh or demeaning, and they were almost invariably directed at people's conduct rather than at them as individuals. I became more hostile toward certain individuals only after they did or supported the doing of certain things against me personally.

In short, because I thought it was wrong and I wanted to say so and say why.
Well, in short many people felt that PG did was wrong and many said so. And many shared some other strong emotions, too.
I must disagree, I don't view their behavior as Vindictive hate towards PG. I viewed at as contempt towards what he had done with three innocent lives.
Now, I do view boogie's actions towards you as vindictive hate. Manily because of the frequency and obsessiveness that s/he has diplayed towards you.

I respectfully disagree with your disagreement, Coonhound. I believe that not only was there contempt toward what PG did but also vindictive hatred toward HIM for doing it. And I was arguing for the notion that we should condemn the acts but not the sick actor.

I think about how we always try to teach children to deal with their anger in nonviolent ways. When a child gets angry and wants to scream or cuss or wish bad things against the person that pissed them off or made them just a little angry, we always tell them to watch their mouths, stop screaming and calm down, etc.
Why do we try to instill this behavior in our children? So they can learn to handle things in a calm and mature manner throughout their entire lives. So when they grow up they can be leaders that know how to make decisions in a calm and well thought out manner. Not some frantic ranting and raving person that spouts off at the mouth, dreaming up the worst case punishments they can think of.
My 12 year old son is a Mediator in the Peer Mediation Group at his school. Although he takes his job serious, and refuses to discuss his confidential mediations with me, he has told me some of the things he has learned.
To me, we teach our children, but we can learn so much more from them.

I really cannot say that I hate the Garridos. Wait. Im sorry. Yes I can. I despise them. But whats more, I have more hate for that friend of theirs, Cheyvonne Molino. I do not know why, but she just irks me and I really cannot stand people like her.
Now lets talk about her so I can know how others feel about her. And if others feel the same way about her that I do.
I really really hate drug addicts. For whatever reason they abuse drugs and got hooked on the crap, I cant stand them. And Garrido abused drugs far too long.
