"But I assure you, I received the email about your troops not being allowed to exit the planes in uniform for that reason"
In no way was I questioning that what you or your friend is saying is not true.
Just that I hadn't heard about it before now.
They don't often show on the TV soldiers returning home, other than tragically the ones that have died, and I have probably missed it, when they did.
denise
It's just very sad that the soldiers of any of the countries involved in Iraq or Afghanistan are dying, daily it seems.
Although they have my support 100%, it really makes you think about "why are they there" and question Bush & Blair who made the decision to send them there.
I'm off to bed now.
Yet another late night/early morning for me here in the UK.
Goodnight Denise. Sleep well later.
Tara, I was not saying that I was only angry for OUR soldiers being over there. I am angry for all wars. But I focused on mainly OUR soldiers to say that they are fighting for the drug addicts and filthy rich people in OUR country. I couldnt speak on that aspect for the soldiers of any other countries, as I do not know.
Good night, Tara. Sweet dreams and God bless.
Hello Coonhound, BrendaStar, Samantha, Denise and all.
Does anyone know if the movie the Changeling was based on a true story. A minimum of 20 boys kidnapped and murdered? The story line was more about Walter Collins and his mother's plight.
Ah, never mind... I should have done a search on his name before asking.
I just found him listed in the Wikipedia under:
Wineville Chicken Coop Murders
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Gordon Northcott
The Wineville Chicken Coop Murders[1] — also known as the Wineville Chicken Murders[2] — was a series of kidnappings and murders of young boys occurring in Los Angeles and Riverside County, California in 1928. The case received national attention and events related to it exposed corruption in the Los Angeles Police Department.[2] The 2008 film Changeling is based upon events related to this case.[3]
Elizabeth Smart details on her court testimony against her captor. The details are gruesome...

Thanks for that update Boogie.
Tara and BrendaStar...
Good day to you both! Geez, you two have me working hard.It seems the more I read, the more I need to read:)
I do have a question for you both...
In regards to David Icke...
Upon reading up on your cause(s),I kept noticing the name David Icke appear.
Maybe you can explain some things to me about him, his beliefs and his expertise...
I can only trust he is an expert on many things based on the knowlede he must have to derive to his conclusions. So...
In what area of study and experience is his primary expertise grounded?
Goodmorning denise, if you are there:)
How are you and the kids feeling today?
You sick mother fucker!
Good Morning Coonhound. I can't stay long, have to get to work soon, but I have been thinking about that last Gariddo article. I keep thinking is it way out there, or is he sweating something. A lot can be read into that, but I find it ludicrous that Garrido would think Jaycee needs criminal representation, (or needs counsel present before she speaks). I wonder if he held other things that he did against her, telling her that she would be thrown in jail if the police found out. It has just been bothering me, but I guess that has a lot to do with brainwashing. That poor girl. I hope they can truly get through to her, and the trial doesn't go forward until they can. As in how this much time helped Elizabeth Smart, I think time will help Jaycee also.
who Stu, Garrido or me?
Just as Elizabeth Smart, it did take the parole officer and police a little while to get through to Jaycee to tell who she was. I am sure Garrido is the one who made her resist that and, if she said I want counsel before I speak, she obviously was pressed to this.
Boogie,
Did you read the Smart article?
She said in court that David Mitchell used drugs and alcohol to make her be more compliant to him.
Early on I had said that I thought that is one of the things PG did to JC, too.
That Smart article is something else...its gruesome the things he did to control smart.
It humbles me to see a victim, such as Smart, take a stand to testify against her abductor and project herself to be a survivor rather than still a victim to her captor. She is living her life and appears to be involved with the things she loves. I am so proud for her.
Hi Coonhound. Yes, I read the Smart Article. She is one strong cookie. I think I can attribute that to her family being there for her as well as her own strength. I really admire her father as well, I am sure her mother is just as wonderful, but she does not speak so much. I also felt Gariddo had to have at least offered Jaycee drugs. That is what he did with his last victim (or the other one of whom he was tried kidnapping and as a rapist).
I was just reading this last couple days in here... I am laughing my butt off. I can't believe some of this stuff on one hand, and then on the other hand some of it is very serious, only to have some more silliness in between as soon as you get involved in your reading.
Well, I do have to get to work now. Talk to you later. Have fun with it today Coonhound!
Boogie,
Yes, that was an odd request by garrido. It had me scratching my head, too.
I would agree, its all part of his control tactics. Evidently he was convinced that THE VICTOM would continue to stand by him once his grasp of her was physically removed. Now he can only rely on her emotions and the emotional strings he had previously attached to her while she was in BONDAGE to him.
be safe, boogiemanhater!
Catch ya later.
Good morning everyone. Good morning, Coonhound! How are you doing this morning?
I just got back from taking my oldest and youngest sons to the doctor. My oldest with a fever but no flu. The youngest has a cold and it is also in his eye and the poor thing is all swollen shut. I feel like hell, and I think I will try to sleep all day. I got a note from the doctor that I cannot return to work for 4 days, so maybe it can save my job. My sons also cannot return for 4 days, so I will be busy anyhow. No rest.
Is Brenda here? I was wondering if she seen my post about the TOPIX sites in different places. I checked and they do have a Topix for S. Lake Tahoe. The topix I have seen in Sac and Tahoe were completely different than ours. Ours is a mixture of news and people bashing each other.
Hi denise.
I hate to hear it that you all are so sick, but glad to know you've been to the docter and did get notes, too.Did he prescribe anything to you or the kids?
Denise, please "lay down the law" with the kids and make them stay in bed! You need your rest too and can't be wearing yourself down. Seriously:)
Also, I tried to view the aol video you posted earlier and couldn't pull it up...do I need an aol account to do so?
I am doing well today, can't complain. Thanks for asking.
Denise,
Have you read the article posted about PG (posted by Boogie)?
What about the Smart article?
Good morning Denise I am here yes... I did read your message about TOPIX
TheBoogieManHater,
Oh I was curious how your comment reading would be going??? and what you would think....
and look at Elizabeth Smart now!!! Such a beautiful, smart, courageous, women.. I see Jaycee in her... Quite, reserved, polite, and just a good person... and i know that Jaycee will over come all of this... She is well on her way now that she is with the people again like her mom that loves really loves her...
Coon hound,
David Icke is an British Author,Public speaker, who has devoted himself to this cause since 1990.. He was a former professional football player, reporter, television sports presenter, and spokesman for the Green Party, he is the author of 20 books explaining his views. He was given a standing ovation the last time he spoke in Canada for 4 hours he has a lot of interesting things to say.. and he is intense.. but i think in a good way..
and good day to you too Coonhound :) Hope your having a great day...
thank you as well for the update on Elizabeth Smart Coonhound...
Goodmorning bendastar.
Denise did mention that she'd be sleeping all day, and I really hope she does. I felt a little guilty for asking her questions after she updated me on her condition.
Hopefully she doesn't give into temptation and get comfortable in front of her computer!
(Sweet dreams to you denise)
Hi Coonhound & everyone
coonhound, you mentioned earlier about David Icke
He is the best known conspiracy theorist in the UK today.
Some of his theories are far WAY OUT, and would certainly take some believing, but his views on things like globalization, New World Order and Bilderberg do make sense.
It was one particular interview that he did with a couple of UK politicians that was of interest and we were referring to.
A bit about David Icke

hello Tara darling :)
Hi Brendastar
Good morning to you.
Late afternoon/early evening here now
I can not believe that piece of shit... I have barely used one word of foul language on here but I am sorry I just cant help myself right now.. Phillip Garrido you are an evil man!!!!! EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I swear if I was Jaycees mom!!! ewwwww... I will be there to watch you get sentenced to life in prison!! you will NOT hurt her ever again!!! I PROMISE you that!
he doesnt even spell (interest) right.. vile man
9:50am here its cold now.. and i lost all my tomatoes to frost when the weather dropped to 25 degrees the other night :(
hello Boogie :) miss ya
The latest Garrido news certainly looks to me like he is trying to force Jaycee into interviews with the media.
I seriously think that in his warped mind, he is expecting Jaycee to say what a wonderful “family life” they have had over recent years.
What were his exact words in the TV phone interview after he was arrested ?
Words to the affect something wonderful was going to be revealed ?
How sick can you get.
we had a really good person die in Iraq last year his name was Timmy Smith!!!! he was killed by a road side bomb!!! WE LOVE YOU TIMMY!!!! his parents are now totally against the war.. becuase their son was sent back twice I forget whats its called right now because I am drawing a blank......(coffee :) help me!) But he was only supposed to be there for a year and a couple months and he served his time and then came home and BUSH sent him back again after he had already served, and his second time in Iraq was killed... Another tragic story of a fallen hero!
Tara,
Seriously I know!! I totally agree with you I feel like hes trying to get a hold of her to scare, manipulate, intimidate, force his views, and abuse her into trying to convince her of what is!! This man is not sick he is a PREDATOR!!!!
he is fully aware of what hes trying to do!!! I am convinced....
Samantha,,
There is some weird crap going on in Montana I am not sure how I feel yet about it because its happening right now and there are a lot of details that I do not know but am trying to figure out as i get them and decypher them (meaning from BS to fact) but id like you to read something and just keep up on it and aware of the situation.. xo :) got your back.. :)

I was looking at it in a slightly different way based on this news article, if it’s true
That Garrido has never abused the daughters and Jaycee “According to Matier and Ross, Dugard also told authorities that Phillip Garrido hadn't approached her sexually "in years."
If true, in Garrido’s warped mind he really thinks that he has reformed/repented and this somehow makes things right, dis-regarding the past and how Jaycee should never have been in that position in the first place.
Full article
“According to media reports, kidnap victim Jaycee Dugard has told investigators that Phillip Garrido did not sexually molest the two daughters he fathered with Dugard.
In their Sunday column in the San Francisco Chronicle, Phillip Matier and Andrew Ross quote an unnamed law enforcement source as saying rape and kidnap suspect Garrido "didn't touch her kids."
It was the behavior of the girls, ages 15 and 11, that first tipped off University of California, Berkeley, police that something was amiss. The girls accompanied Garrido to the campus security office where he was inquiring about a permit to pass out literature.
Dugard, 29, gave birth to the girls in her teens, and both Garridos have been charged with rape.
According to Matier and Ross, Dugard also told authorities that Phillip Garrido hadn't approached her sexually "in years."

Acharya,
Thank you for pointing that out to Mr. Nag! Observant you are...
I totally agree:
“Humans can't and aren't supposed to forgive? Christians can't and aren't supposed to forgive?”~Nag
(HOW IS ASKING A QUESTION GIVING REASON BEHIND YOUR VIEW – WHERE IS THE PHILOSOPHY? DO YOU THINK YOU SHOULD MAKE A QUESTION OUT OF EVERY COMMENT TO COME TO TRUTH AND UNDERSTANDING? DO YOU NOT THINK THAT SITTING DOWN TO STUDY BEFORE YOU SPEAK WOULD GAIN YOU KNOWLEDGE TO SPEAK WELL?)~ Acharya
I agree with this as well:
“my perspective accords with science.”~ Nag
(WHERE IS THIS SCIENCE? PROVE IT, YOU SAY IT PROVE IT….. PHILOSPHY – WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO BACK UP ANY CLAIM YOU HAVE STATED~Acharya
and I could have not stated this better myself:
“how have I not presented my "version" more convincingly than anyone else has presented a different version?”~ Nag
(WHERE HAVE YOU PRESENTED FACTUAL INFORMATION FOR YOUR VERSION, WHERE HAVE YOU PRESENTED CAUSE TO GIVE ANYONE BELIEF IN YOUR WORDS – DISCREDIT BY WORDS IS NOT FACT.)~Acharya
I have to say that yesterday irritated me... I could not believe I was being challenged and argued with on looking at pros and cons when the very person telling me to do this hadnt done this at all!!! I was not only irritated, but saddened, and to be frank disappointed in you Nag.. I actually expected more from you...And i know its wrong to assume but if you are going to argue with someone and argue the fact you should look at all sides then you should do the same.. Until yesterday IO actually thought sometimes you made sense but to me honestly i viewed you as a hypocrite yesterday.... I at least thought youd have facts and knowledge to back up your other side you were fighting for as well as if again you wanted me to look at pros and cons about the subject you should at least have knowledge yourself to back up those statements..
Ive read all of that about that Jaycee but I still have to say in years well maybe thats because she had become a women... he did start to sexually assault her when she was 11 years old...or maybe he did have some conscious awakening in himself that this was not okay and he should not do this anymore but then why keep Jaycee captive and acting as his wife in the home...I wonder if he has not even touched Nancy in years and how they interacted.. Shes a Vile women too.. and is as much responsible for this as him..
i think hes trying to manipulate her and force the view of that that he hasnt approached her in years he had some change or whatever he refers to it as... but I feel like hes putting up smoke and mirrors ya know really hes a manipulator and a predator...
Oh Tara you have to watch this when you get a chance its interesting...
sad too but it was really good i thought:
http://freedocumentaries.org/theatre.php?filmid=166&id=1028&wh=1000x720
its called stealing a nation
its about the exiled people of Chagos..
This was so interesting to me...
Do you all believe this...
According to writer David Icke, 7-foot (2.1 m) tall, blood-drinking, shape-shifting reptilian humanoids from the Alpha Draconis star system are the force behind a worldwide conspiracy directed at humanity. He claims that the reptilians maintain their control through the generation of fear and negative emotion, which is food to these entities, by manufacturing conflicts, primarily wars. He contends that most of the world's leaders are in fact related to these reptilians.[7] Icke's theories now have supporters in 47 countries and he frequently gives lectures to crowds of 2,500 or more.[8][9] Icke draws connections between the reptilian aliens in his theories and the Annunaki depicted in Zecharia Sitchin's 12th Planet,[10] which has led to other conspiracy theorists referring to reptilian humanoids as the "Annunaki";[11] however, Sitchin himself has always described his Annunaki as purely humanoid. The true etymology of Annunaki, in Sumerian, refers to "those of royal offspring" and in spite of the advanced astrological knowledge of that ancient empire, connections between reptilian beings and Annunakis have no historical relevance. Annunakis, more likely, was a generic Sumerian term to refer to their Gods or human beings of "divine essence".
(From wikipedia)
And do you believe that the "illuminate", the elite few responsible for NWO, are reptile humanoids?
Just wondering what your thoughts...
BrendaStar
Another article about Chagos.
Neither the UK or the USA have much to be proud of in our histories.
"The story involves "bribes" from the United States, racism among senior civil servants, and the UK Government deceiving parliament and the United Nations."
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/1005064.stm
Thank you Tara I will read that in a second :) I know I am totally with you on that about our Histories combined.. Shocking really.. Gosh the poor people of Chagos can you imagine?
oh I forgot to add too that what the UN did to them was horrible...
Coonhound,
No Coonhound I dont believe that... But I have researched the illuminate and that in itself is very interesting but no I would not go that far...
coonhound quoted
"According to writer David Icke, 7-foot (2.1 m) tall, blood-drinking, shape-shifting reptilian humanoids from the Alpha Draconis star system are the force behind a worldwide conspiracy directed at humanity"
Do I believe it ? In a word NO
I did say earlier some of his theories are just far too "WAY OUT"
Sounds like something out of the science fiction films that my husband likes to watch (grin)
lol, I am resting today, Coonhound. You are so sweet. I am up to check on my boys,(and you guys lol) and to give my son some Tylenol. They only gave the baby some eye drops which will not be ready until this afternoon. I hope my daughter will drive to get them for me, if not. Uff. I am going to go back to sleep in a minute. Still crappy.
Which aol video could you not pull up? Does it say anything in the link? I can find it for you in google maybe or another link. I dont even know what I posted. And you do not have to have an aol account to pull it up. AOL was my homepage when I bought my laptop.
I do not know what else anyone asked me. Im so out of it.
Oh yeah, yes, I did look at the links about the letter from Garrido. I am too out of it to respond to it. I think it would be funny to respond to the letter, then come back and read what I wrote later when I feel better. haha.
Elizabeth Smart is amazing. She has an excellent support group and family. Especially after hearing the horrible things she had to endure, and she turns out more together than alot of young women.
Denise,,
I hope you feel better and get some rest... (hug)
and drink fluids :)
My uncle, (my mothers brother), died today. I will catch up with you all later. peace and God bless!
My deepest condolences to you and your family..Take care and hang in there.
I found this concerning bc he says this experience helped him to formulate some of his ideas...
In March 1990, while he was a national spokesperson for the Green Party, Icke claims he received a message from the spirit world through a medium, identified by The Guardian as Betty Shine, a medium from Brighton.[9] She told him he was a healer who had been chosen for his courage and sent to heal the earth, and that he had been directed into football to learn discipline. He was going to leave politics and would become famous, she said, writing five books in three years, and one day there would be a great earthquake, and the "sea will reclaim land," because human beings were abusing the earth. When Icke told the Green Party leadership what he had experienced, he was banned from speaking on their behalf at public meetings.[14] In 1991, after a trip to Peru, he wrote Truth Vibrations, an autobiographical work which summarised his life experiences up to that point, with an emphasis on his recent spiritual encounters. He began to wear only turquoise and on 27 March 1991, held a press conference to announce: "I am a channel for the Christ spirit. The title was given to me very recently by the Godhead."[15] In an interview on the Terry Wogan show broadcast 29 April 1991, he announced that he was "the son of God," and that Britain would be devastated by tidal waves and earthquakes.[16][9] His statements were met with laughter and ridicule from the studio audience, derision in the press, and suggestions that he was mentally ill. Icke later said that he had been misinterpreted by the media. According to Icke, he used the term "the son of God" "in the sense of being an aspect, as I understood it at the time, of the Infinite consciousness that is everything. As I have written before, we are like droplets of water in an ocean of infinite consciousness."[17] After being widely ridiculed, he disappeared from public view. He has written that, for several years, he was unable to walk down the street without people pointing and laughing, and that this experience helped him find the courage to develop his controversial ideas, because he no longer cared what people thought of...(Wikipedia)
I will objectively state that wikipedia is not the soundest research tool, but I was looking for a general non-subjective overview of of his credibility. I am very taken off guard here.
Coonhound,
Although I am aware of David Icke and I have watched documentaries with him in it, about him, and read things.. I do not base a lot of my research off of David Icke's work..Although I am aware of it..and some things he has said.. about the New world order establishment is also reported by a lot of other people besides him but I do agree with Tara and think some of views are way out there!
coonhound
"I will objectively state that wikipedia is not the soundest research tool, but I was looking for a general non-subjective overview of of his credibility. I am very taken off guard here."
From what I remember of events at the time, yes wiki's description is accurate.
However, as I said SOME of his views make sense, globalization, New World Order and Bilderberg.
But his views should not be viewed in isolation but along with others of similar views on these particuler topics.
Lastly, this really stunned me.
[edit] Claims of antisemitism A number of commentators have written that Icke's declarations imply a form of antisemitism because of his references to a secret elite that rules the world, including prominent Jewish banking families, who he says planned the Holocaust and financed Adolf Hitler. He also makes reference to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. In ... And the Truth Shall Set You Free he wrote: I strongly believe that a small Jewish clique which has contempt for the mass of Jewish people worked with non-Jews to create the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the Second World War. This Jewish/non-Jewish Elite used the First World War to secure the Balfour Declaration and the principle of the Jewish State of Israel. They then dominated the Versailles Peace Conference and created the circumstances which made the Second World War inevitable. They financed Hitler to power in 1933 and made the funds available for his rearmament."[3]
coonhound
I don't think that David Icke would be the only person to consider the above theory plausible.
Would need to do a bit more research.
One of the vidoes I watched yesterday, showed quite plausible reasons as to how all recent wars have been "deliberately" caused and how it was done.
Tara, BrendaStar...
I trust you understand and believe that I am not making any premature judgements.
I did review other theories, and there are so many theories and sub-theories, and sub-sub-theories. Also, many of them do overlap, meaning there is no clear-cut defined groups.
But what has stuck out to me is this...according to these theories All significantpast events and people are not really has they appear to be. Almost as if there is a new dimension that has yet to be discovered.
coonhound
"But what has stuck out to me is this...according to these theories All significantpast events and people are not really has they appear to be. Almost as if there is a new dimension that has yet to be discovered."
Spot one !
Watch all or at least some of this video as to plausible theories as to how wars were created.
In particular 16.00 mins onwards
http://freedocumentaries.org/theatre.php?filmid=150&id=998&wh=1000x720
Tara,
I'm not able to watch the documentaries bc my only on-line connection is by phone.
So I must google and read:)
Tara,
I think your choice of documentary to pass on is very good :)
coonhound
That really is a shame that your connection is not good enough.
Some of the videos are really so informative, but no transcripts available as far as I know.
I really am the most down to earth person and certainly don't live a fairy tale world.
All or most of the theories are based on historical events, it's just putting them all together into context to see the full picture.
Coonhound,
I have a page you can look at its really neat its called 911truth.org check it out and on the lower left there is a bunch of groups that are associated with them and they have the links right there to their pages.. I fond these pages very compelling to look at and start viewing as they give you major access to information and events.. oh also google the feel good foundation.. that as well is another great place to start...
15.1 Million people are OUT of work this is the highest in 26 years!
Our economy is great the government rules and im totally delusional...
Tara,
Let me clarify on my connection...I'm on my blackberry phone. I don't bother with using my PC on-line anymore.
:)
BrendaStar,
Unemployment is still high, no doubt.
But keep in mind that our population is also the highest its been in 26 yrs, too.
The unemployment rate is a more resourceful number to evaluate, especially in the context of emerging out of recession.
Coonhound,
I dont think we are emerging out of a recession this has just begun..
BrendaStar
After watching the "Obama Deception" the other night, things that I had found extremely difficult to understand in the past, so much fell into place.
The history of the Federal Reserve and how it relates to the World Money systems.
Seems that the USA handed control to the bankers, way back when the Federal Reverse was created, as I understand it.
Gordon Brown a few years ago made the final move to do the same thing.
Handed control of interest rates and effectively the economy to the Bank of England in 1997
It's all making a lot of very disturbing sense now.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/may/6/newsid_3806000/3806313.stm
Tara,
You are absolutely correct in 1913 this is when it started for us and Woodrow Wilson knew it.. It amazes me how many people really dont know about this part of history at all..or how truly significant it really was and is today...Just in general take away every theory or factual thing that people have uncovered...and it STILL is very significant because it changed everything.. and you are right about Gordon Brown too. Crazy stuff hugh... its like being awake for the first time..
I mean to me really this is basic economics, and history and just looking at like a time line and seeing a bigger picture then putting scientific facts and actual facts of presidents and so on its mind blowing and eye opening...
I want to make this clear to everyone I am not trying at all to impose my views on anyone but I am asking that you research things and you ask questions which is your RIGHT as a human being.... I am asking that you think for yourself and that you really look at history and what is happening around you TODAY!!! and I mean TODAY!! I hope to invoke action and action within yourselves.. to realize you have a voice and a constitutional right to do so. As well as to realize that our media is corporate and government owned so you have to seek other forms of media to gain your knowledge of what is really happening today!
BrendaStar
I don't think that the majority of the public, including me, take much notice at the time of what might appear on the face of it to be insignificant political or economic changes when they happen.
Like Gordon Brown's in 1997.
Yes it did appear to be a major change, but who actually looked at the real implications.
It's only after the event, when it's too late, that these things make sense.
Tara,
that came out wrong i mean after the fact of trying to figure this out... you have to keep it simple stupid or it gets overwhelming... Sorry that came out wrong.
its called the K.I.S.S. method :)
keep it simple stupid. lol
BrendaStar
Nothing appeared "wrong" to me
BrendaStar
"As well as to realize that our media is corporate and government owned so you have to seek other forms of media to gain your knowledge of what is really happening today!"
Something which has become very apparent to anyone who has been following the Madeleine case for the past few years.
Tara,
Thank you :) i wanted to clarify my thoughts... the are fast sometimes lol.. I really enjoy our talks by the way. I feel like I have a new friend in the UK.
BrendaStar said:
I mean to me really this is basic economics, and history and just looking at like a time line and seeing a bigger picture then putting scientific facts and actual facts of presidents and so on its mind blowing and eye opening...
BrendaStar,
In no way what so ever am I poking at you with this question...
Have you studied any within the field of economics, either micro- or macro- economics?
Coonhound,
Micro-behavioral individual
macro-as a whole
yes, a little...
i didnt think you were trying to make fun of me either :)
Coonhound,
I am confused did you mean me or someone else? have I studied or have I studied other economist?
I have studied actual economist yes.
BrendaStar...don't hate me after you read this...
I was trying to understand how the Federal Reserve Act of 1913 "started it for us."
I was hoping you could explain in your own words somewhat rather than post a link or video.
I am aware of Wilson's statement and his concerns, but I feel I'd be grasping for straws to say he's implying a step towards NWO.
I also have to point out that both capitalism and democracy in their purest of forms are virtually impossible to exist. And there are pros and cons to our existing monetary policy.
IMO...Lack of necessary monetary policy was one of the key catalysts to our Great Housing Bubble which spiraled us into this recession...a very intricate dominoe effect. Bush and Obama have made efforts to keep the cycle of money flowing without making the dollar worthless.
During the Great Depression monetary policy was also an issue...the flow of money ceased. There was a run on banks, people didn't spend...and there went an even faster and longer spiral effect. And many, many factors came together at the right time to set off this spiral, only the type of monetary policy intensified it.
Despite the troubles we can blame on monetary policy and government...
Do you see any legitimacy to our Federal Reserve system and monetary policy at all? Or is it all a cover up by the illuminate in your eyes?
Im not trying to trick you, its very relevant that you have knowledge in this in order for YOU to be able to formulate your OWN opinions and make educated decisions.
Do you believe that a jewish elite funded Hitler and the war?
Do you believe the holocaust occured and do you believe that our historical understanding of how many jews(and others) were not just murdered, but exsterminated?
Do you believe in genocide?
Coonhound,
“Do you believe that Jewish elite funded Hitler and the war?”
My answer is No
“Do you believe the holocaust occurred and do you believe that our historical understanding of how many Jews (and others) were not just murdered, but exterminated?”
I most definitely believe the holocaust occurred. I believe they down play how many Jewish people and others that were not even Jewish were murdered and exterminated.
“Do you believe in genocide?”
Genocide is occurring as we speak in Africa and elsewhere... Yes I do.
and as far as this next question: I am going to have to devote some energy to this one in explaining my thoughts. I can not simply answer this next inquiry in a couple sentences..
“Do you see any legitimacy to our Federal Reserve system and monetary policy at all? Or is it all a cover up by the illuminate in your eyes?”
NO I do not see any legitimacy in the Federal Reserve System. Is it the illuminate? I am not entirely sure 100% but I do know it is bankers that currently STILL run this scam and currently our top government officials and trickling down from the top.. It s a big giant pyramid scheme and this is why. Our entire system has been set up to produce debt starting at the Central Bank which actually occurred When King George the Third from England outlawed the Interest free independent currency that the people used for themselves in turn forcing them to have to borrow money from the Central Bank of England at Interest which put the colonies into debt.. In 1783 America Won its Independence from England. The Central Bank had monopoly and you have to know how the central bank works in order to understand but basically they control Interest and inflation. They loan each dollar at interest they increase and decrease their money supply to regulate the value of the currency. Loaning each dollar out at interest which in turn is always perpetuating debt. So they loan all of us our money at interest as well as regulate the value of our currency. Meaning they have to increase the money supply to temporarily cover outstanding debt created which in turn since there is more money being loaned out it creates more debt..
In the early 1900's and early 20th century The US had implemented a couple Central Banks Owned by this time in the early 1900's the:
Rockefellers, J.P. Morgan’s, Warburg's, and the Rothschild’s as well as in the early 1900's they were pushing to have another Central banking opened up. We still at this time in history were skeptical of too many Central Banks being in operation and having
These were the predominant Bankers of this time and STILL ARE. They are to have said to have started a banking rumor that the other banks were going bankrupt which in turn caused a frenzy and people started to pull their money out of those banks in a panic and a large panic. This caused mass withdrawals and forced the banks to call in their loans causing recipients to sell their property causing a ripple effect of bankruptcies, foreclosures, repossessions, ect. There was a congressional Investigation into this in the year 1907 it was lead by a senator Nelsen Aldrich. The commission recommended a Central Banking System that controlled all the currency so the panic of 1907 would never happen again. Nelsen Aldrich had intimate ties with the Banking cartel and later became part of the Rockefeller family by marriage. In 1910 secret meeting was held on Jekyll Island where it was here that the Federal Reserve act was written. Ill have everyone note that this was written by a bunch of BANKERS!!!! And they were not law makers. After this bill was written is was given to Senator Aldrich who then started to pass it through congress and in 1913 Woodrow Wilson having already agreed to sign this prior to being in presidency for campaign support and also had heavy political sponsorship from these bankers 2 days before Christmas it was voted in and it was law..
i am not sure if you mean do I believe Genocide is okay? and that is NO
I hope that explains how i feel somewhat.. in my owns words per your request. and no Coonhound I dont hate you :)
BrendaStar...
I thank you dearly for not taking offense and for your well thought out reply.
Thank you and your welcome no offense taken at all. I hope I made sense and answered your questions..
Yes, and thank you for answering the genocide question from both angles, too. I realized after I posted that the question was incomplete. (Giggle)
:)
BrendaStar,
You make more sense than those links that you post! Hah!
(Giggle) :) that one tripped me up a bit.. lol :) I kept reflecting on that while I was writing the rest..
Do you have issue with this...
Money is a commodity like anything else. So, for a lender to loan money without charging the end-user would be pointless.
Coonhound,
thats good ha-ha-ha that made me laugh thank you!
What made you laugh?
My comment that I posted about "the links"?
Yes the comment about the link.. :)
charge the end user but to what degree..
Hi BrendaStar and Coonhound. I don't plan to stay on long, I am so tired, I canceled a date!!!! Unheard of! LOL
BrendaStar, I was reading a lot of what you posted over the last couple of days. I love it when the girls asked you to explain... LOL. Sound familiar? I hope to just veg tomorrow and catch up on the news a little more. I think it was Coonhound posting stories the other day in here... Thanks Coonhound, saved me a bit of time! But at the end she said, and there is still not good news in the news today. That is one good reason not to read, but was kind of lost without news of Jaycee. I hope the attorney comes back soon to tell us, and she is doing better than even the last time I saw here!!!!!
I though the letter Garrido wrote was despicable, but he wrote it to a reporter, maybe he may have thought that it would make it's way to Jaycee, but I am not sure. I think, more and more after thinking about this all day, that he is trying to keep Jaycee shut up about something. He seemed to think she needed a criminal attorney to be with her. Well, he is stupid too, but I think he is trying to push off all the control, everything he made her do over the past 18 years, and there will be some illegal things he made her do..... I think he had told Jaycee before ever going to the parole office, if anything ever happened, keep your mouth shut and ask for an attorney, you will go to jail. What better way to keep himself from trouble. I think maybe he doesn't know that there is no statute of limitations for his crimes of kidnapping and rape here.
So my concern.... is that Jaycee may keep some things back out of the fear that he drilled in for so many years, and likely told her she was just as responsible. It is going to take a lot of time and patients to get through that with her.
Elizabeth Smart was only gone for 9 months and she didn't even know her own name for a few hours.
Oh, and I also saw the posts of the other Arturo Nagarjuna. LOL
I about wet my pants this a.m. I laughed so hard. The conversation was somewhat serious, then a new poster being so serious (well at first I wasn't sure) but then became really serious and then a bomb... "o'tay Daddy". LOL, I thought this person was serious as a heart attack until then. I thought I would mention that because you forgot that one in your posts today. I will never forget those words. O'tay Daddy.
Acharya Nagarjuna I meant.
Hi boogie!
I Coonhound.... don't worry!!!! I will not stay and let him tick me off again. Way to tired to deal with it tonight. Even my speech is slurred. LOL O'tay Daddy. LOL
Hey boogie yes it sounds familiar :)
ha ha
cancelled a date?? what? :)
oh I know! That was too funny!
What do you think was up with that?
Think it was nag, one of his friends or maybe one of us???
Geeeez. see how tired, I meant HI Coohhound.
oh, goodness "Coonhound" I meant.
Oh I wish I could claim ownership of that idea!!!
O'tay daddy...too funny!
I was just waitin for naggy to appear last night!
I don't know, he hasn't been hanging around, maybe, but I doubt it. Why call himself a fraud. LOL, but who knows, he has several different personalities. You know I didn't mind reading it :). In fact I read it again when I got home tonight. LOL
Make some coffee Boogie!!!
I wish he would come back and comment on the ones he left blank.
In any event, I think the Nag took BrendaStar's advice and is probably studying up on adverse arguments for Tara. He has to try to win, he wouldn't take a break for a day before this, so I truly suspect BrendaStar broke through.
Thank you BrendaStar!!!!
lol... Boogie you crack me up :)
I have been sittin here thinking of that Coonhound. Coffee sounds so good, but I am half laying down with this laptop on my lap.... just have to move.
Seriously,
Nagarjuna is laying low bc he realizes he lost some footing around here.
Us ladies figuratively slapped the p*ss out of him!
And he knows it, too.
You know after all that time working and running we sent 4 large packages to the Philippines and only one was accounted for in the Philippines. I just can't believe some people. Crime is so high at the post office and Fed Ex offices. I just am so sad about this, I just am so discouraged in people anymore. Some people want to say that it will all go to use to people who need it, but I think that is a lie, they have had so much trouble with mailings there, someone has made a killing off the stolen goods. It just makes me sick to see a government so corrupt and at times like this that they have to go through this flood, walking through sewage water, getting sick. Darn it all to hell, I am mad again!
Coonhound you said:
"Us ladies figuratively slapped the p*ss out of him!" LOL
Nag is male right?
An... I forgot to copy and paste something for that last post. BRB
Boogie,
That's horrible!
"I charge that these are not fact but words of a very troubled woman."
Nag is a manm yes? I assumed because of his picture.
I suppose he is male. He is according to his profile. And he has mentioned a wife.
But that doesn't mean anything now a days either.
Heck if I know!
Yeah, I caught that "woman" reference, too. I figured it was part of the joke.
?????
I know it is absolutely horrible. We insured the packages, but that is not the point. Those people need it now! Always crime goes up when people are hurting! I just don't get it. I wonder if the thieves had any family that was lost to drowning or illness from the dirty water and can possibly find it within themselves to forgive themselves.
Coonhound said...
"Oh I wish I could claim ownership of that idea!!!
O'tay daddy...too funny!"
LOL, Me too.
What's in the news today... anything new on this case?
That's not an uncommon thing to happen when aid is sent over seas and here in the usa, too. (Pitiful)
That's not an uncommon thing to happen when aid is sent over seas and here in the usa, too. (Pitiful)
I haven't searched anything since our posts earlier today.
Maybe Nag's wife put him in "time out" from using his computer!
I seriously doubt he is married. Seriously, how many women in here would be okay with their husband, or boyfriend sitting at the computer arguing with other people for over a month now, and nearly 15 to 20 hours a day on most days?
LOL, now I am having second thoughts, what wife would not want him to go to the computer and argue with SOMEBODY ELSE. LOL
BRB, I do need that coffee.
Samantha, are you around?
O'tay Daddy!!! I'm Baaaack. You still there?
Yes!
Wo, does a government official care? Seriously, is there a campaign coming up?
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- KCRA 3 has obtained a letter written by the senator who represents the Antioch area, and he's demanding answers from the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation regarding the Phillip Garrido case.
Sen. Mark DeSaulnier, D-Concord, wrote the letter to secretary of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Matthew Cate.
DeSaulnier represents Antioch and chairs a subcommittee that oversees corrections.
In the letter, DeSaulnier asks for "a full investigation of Garrido's supervision."
He wants a report "explaining how these three captives could have been missed by Mr. Garrido's parole agent …"
Former U.S. Attorney McGregor Scott, who was once based out of Northern California, represents Dugard and her family.
Terry Probyn, Dugard's mother, also wants answers in regards to her daughter's case.
"Terry Probyn genuinely wants to focus going forward to make sure that people like Phillip Garrido are held accountable," Scott said.
The Department of Corrections refuses to release records to the public, but told KCRA 3 two days after Dugard was discovered, their agent acted appropriately.
"The agent did all due diligence, it's really the perpetrator in this crime that concealed this for 18 years," CDCR's undersecretary Scott Kernan said.
DeSaulnier doesn't agree. He has "many questions as to how Mr. Garrido's captives could have gone unnoticed by your staff for so long …"
The senator said he wants a full report to ensure "this horrific matter" doesn't happen again.
DeSaulnier was not available to talk with KCRA 3 on Friday.
However, his office said he met with Kernan on Wednesday and did not learn much more than has already been reported in the media.
In the meantime, the Inspector General is investigating corrections' handling of the case. That report is due within 30 days."
Boogie,
Do you hit the casinos much?
LOL.... to eat just about every dayd I am working here, go out to the nightclubs once in a while, but not to gamble. Except one time while waiting for them to clean up our table, I stood by a penny machine, dropped, $2.75 and won $97.00. Of course, I ended up having to pay for everyone's lunch that day.
Wow, glad to see that move. Wonder what will come of it...time will tell.
I like black jack. I've been to "sin city" a few times. I'm really too tight with money to enjoy gambling though.
Actually it is the third investigation to go forward now. The more they find out, the higher levels want to put in their 2 cents to make themselves look like they command a higher level of work from these "crime stoppers".
Make it look like the system will still work, because they are on to it now and because they are now putting their foot down. Bull!!!!! It has always been like this. How many kids are still missing Coonhound. Garrido and his wife are not the only pedophiles holding missing children. I am telling you. They have been foot loose and fancy free for way to long! But, you watch, when people forget, the government will back down once again.
It's ok when you visit, but you better not play when you live here. Addiction comes in many packages.... Drugs, Alcohol, smoking, gambling, etc., etc.
Nobody's ever slapped the pi*s out of me here, and nobody ever will. :-) I do all the slapping around here, so watch yourselves. :-) Don't make me abandon my newer and more productive pursuits to make you do some more serious thinking. :-)
Goodnight, everyone.
Oh, I agree with you. I think this stuff goes on more than we could imagine. You know I live totally out in the country. At a minimum people have 5 acres up to a few hundred. I can't help but to think how much easier something like that could be hidden/concealed, like what garrido did. And to think he did it in sub-division type setting literally under the noses of many!
Hi nagarjuna! Where have you been?
Arturo Fidelino couldn't sleep.
U.S. Marines on Friday distributed clothing and medical supplies to victims of Typhoon Ketsana in Manila.
U.S. Marines on Friday distributed clothing and medical supplies to victims of Typhoon Ketsana in Manila.
The telecommunications executive, who lives in Manila, the Philippines, with his wife and teenage daughter, spent Friday "observing and awaiting" Typhoon Parma, which threatened to bring more destruction to a country already reeling from last weekend's killer storm.
"We had a traumatic experience when we had Ketsana," which was a tropical storm when it slammed the Philippines last weekend and later strengthened into a typhoon. Ketsana was blamed for 246 deaths.
"We don't want that to happen again," he told CNN Friday. "Everyone is praying for the typhoon not to reach Philippines."
They were also preparing. Fidelino and others described "panicking" residents rushing to stock up on all sorts of goods -- canned food, water, candles, and other electrical supplies -- amid sometimes treacherous conditions.
"I've seen children looking for their parents, children going through garbage," said Doranne Lim.
As Typhoon Parma bore down Friday on the Philippines, Lim was holed up on the second floor of her Manila home with her mother and her mother's helper, surrounded by supplies. "I'm seriously thinking about getting a sturdy rubber boat soon, and maybe construct an elevated platform in my garage for the car," Lim said.
Lim and Fidelino are among those in the Philippines who have sent images to CNN iReport.
Forecasters say the worst damage from Parma may be north of Manila, where officials fear mudslides could be triggered. But inches of rain are expected to pound Manila and elsewhere, adding to the devastation.
"There are areas still underwater," said Luc Picard of Catholic Relief Services, who is helping coordinate his agency's efforts in the region.
People are becoming sick without clean water, he said. "Sanitation is a huge problem," and leading to severe diarrhea, severe rashes, and various diseases, Picard said.
And schools being used as shelters "are not ready to receive families of three, four, five or even six children. You may have 100 families in one of the schools."
He added, "Around the streets, it's mud all over."
"After last week, people are really scared of what might happen," Picard said. "They are moving inland, away from the coastal area. The government has been very proactive about getting people to move to shelter areas or highland where they can be safe."
Many Filipinos, including Brian Marana, are holding out hope that the dire predictions about Parma won't play out. "People are holding their breath and hoping it's not like Ketsana," he said.
Marana, who lives in San Juan, has been helping collect and deliver canned goods. "Yesterday I went up to one of the hardest-hit areas," he said. "Everything is covered in mud. Furniture is out on the streets."
Fidelino, also helping in relief efforts, is concerned about getting relief to stricken residents after the typhoon slams the country. Watch iReporter's account of volunteer efforts in the Philippines
"The major problem here, to my mind, is how we will be able to transport relief goods to those who are in dire need of them," he said.
There are also security concerns, he said, noting what has happened in recent days. "Every time goods are brought somewhere, it's chaos," he said. "Everyone wants to get hold of them. Volunteers are actually putting their lives in danger."
But a fellow Filipino, Adrian Lauron, said the destruction has "brought out the best from all of us Filipinos."
"The concept of giving, sharing and volunteerism is evident everywhere," Lauron said.
"All Filipinos are aware and eager to help the others in need," Lauron added. "It is truly a moment for the Filipino people."
Who cares where he's been. Maybe he slapped his way into a jail cell. Maybe that is where Samantha is. LOL
Samantha are you out there?
Nag can't take the heat, he can only dish it out.
:)
I wish someone could rape you and terrorizes the rest of your life everyday as you did to that poor little girl. I hope for you to live to 120 years old and have your asshole turned inside out everyday in prison. People like you the lowest form of humans on earth. You scum fuck, I would love to beat the fuck out of you and watch you cower in the corner, thenI would shit in your mouth and pull your toe nails out one by one and pour acid in your eyes. I fucking hate you so much and whatevr you punishment you get is no where close to what you deserve. Death is free pass for you. You will rot in hell for eternity you fucking piece of trash sum fucking loser
LOL, now that will bring the nag a running.
That was explicit.
That was kind of rank.
I know people who have gotten them selves sent to jail and prison for a lot less of a crime than the Garridos have. I wonder how many have done this in this case.
I meant to have their revenge
You found my post extreme? seriously what is a proper punishment for a man like this? Prison isnt enough, the worst part is he thinks this girl was happy and he did nothing wrong. we have drug dealers in prison doing 20 years and a convicted rapist is released from a life sentence to repeat the same crime agian in an even more haneous fashion. This man needs to be torchered. FUCK!!! Im so angry.
And this guy is another so many at the office are talking about. I guess if you have money and/or can make a movie, it's acceptable to rape a 13 year old child.
LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- Roman Polanski in 1993 agreed to pay his sexual assault victim $500,000 to settle a damage claim she filed against the fugitive film director, according to court papers released Friday.
Director Roman Polanski pleaded guilty in 1977 to having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl.
Director Roman Polanski pleaded guilty in 1977 to having unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl.
Polanski still owed the money -- plus another $100,000 in interest -- three years after the settlement, according to the documents.
It's not clear if Polanski ever completed paying the claim, which was filed 12 years after the crime. The court papers document efforts by the victim's lawyers to garnish residuals and other payments owed to Polanski by the Screen Actors Guild, movie studios and other Hollywood businesses.
The papers, 747 pages in all, are mostly legal arguments and opinions filed during the five years the lawsuit made its way through the California court system. The suit was complicated by the fact that Polanski refused to return to the United States to defend himself.
Ultimately, an appeals court ruled that he did not have to be present to fight the suit.
Polanski pleaded guilty in August 1977 to having unlawful sex with Samantha Geimer, then 13, five months earlier. Other charges were dropped by prosecutors in exchange for his guilty plea.
He fled the country before he was sentenced after learning that the Los Angeles judge might not go along with the short jail term he expected to get from plea agreement.
Polanski remained free, mostly living in France, until September, when he was arrested in Switzerland on a 32-year-old arrest warrant. Polanski's lawyers are fighting his extradition to the United States.
Geimer's lawsuit sought money for damages suffered when Polanski had sex with her. She said Polanski plied her with alcohol and quaaludes during a photo shoot at the Hollywood Hills home of actor Jack Nicholson.
When Polanski was nominated for a best director Academy Award in 2003 for his movie "The Pianist," Geimer appeared on CNN's Larry King Live to encourage Oscar voters to cast their ballots based on the merit of his work -- not his assault on her.
DoubleJ07. I don't care what you do with him. If you want to argue your point, please argue with Nag, he loves to argue with people who don't think we should have compassion for the Pedophiles.
He recently had a couple of women bitch slap him so he is in hiding, but if you wait long enough, he can't help but come out to have a nonsense argument, wherein he will ignore your every word as if it didn't exist.
I am just saying I didn't like reading he stuff in the mouth... I was eating at the time.
Coonhound, are you still there? I am going to watch a movie and fall asleep.
SO Boogie do you think we should have compassion for this man? If so why?
(Sorry boogie I fell asleep)
Well DoubleJ07, if that wasn't a Nag question, I don't know what is?
Nag, I simply want him put to death. If other see fit to do as you so eloquently put it, that is their business. How could I not have compassion on them? You see, Nag, it goes both ways now doesn't it. So, what is better, death or your eloquently put actions.
Coonhound, I found a good sweet movie which I could not go to sleep on.... Notting Hill with Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts. Very cute together. They should make many more movies together.
That question appreared a little "naggish in nature" to me, too!
Of course it was him. It was the boldest most brazen of them all.
Of course it was him. It was the boldest most brazen of them all.
Hah!
O'tay Daddy!!! LOL
You know, with the world being in the craze it is in, I always try to watch a really nice movie just before or at bed time. If I fall asleep closed to those kind of thoughts then I have nice dreams. But this one was so good Coonhound, I couldn't fall asleep for fear I would miss the happy ending I knew would be ooming. You should watch it.
Tell me what it was about. I want to say that I have seen it, but can't really remember. Plus, I'm not a fan of Hugh Grant, but I do like Julia Roberts very much.
Julia Roberts pretty much plays the part of herself.... a beautiful movie star... Goes to Britain and was shopping in a bookstore Hugh Grant owned (a really poor bookstore because he only sells I think it was map books). He is star/beauty/love struck. She is to, but of course doesn't know it. On and off again until she loses him, and is able to shake of the fact that she kept dismissing the idea to others that he meant anything to her.
Such a simple movie, but very cute, they are a very handsome couple.
I am surprised you do not like Hugh Grant. I think he is adorable. I wonder what kind of person he is with the extraordinary good looks.
My eyes are as tired and dry as could possibly get. I need to say goodnight. Have a nice evening Coonhound.
Its almost a full moon out or maybe it is full. whenever the moon is full my dogs drive me crazy wanting to go in and out all night, barking at all the other wildlife outside. The coyotes howl off and on all through the night and other dogs in the area are constantly fussing.
I'd just leave them (my dogs) outside but they hit the back door until someone let's them inside. Ugh. No joke, they hit at the door, not scratch at it.
They are very spoiled I would have to admit!
Ok, goodnight!
There is a new Dateline NBC story on Garrido at http://video.msn.com
BrendaStar...goodmorning!
(Said) charge the end user but to what degree?
I assume you have issue with some lending practices out there! I do too. I have a little insight here, not any kind of expert nor even an "impressive" resume. But I've seen risky lending done with integrity and with greed.
I also have issue with our society as a whole, too. "As a whole" I believe we are too obessed with having everything "now"...the whole gotta keep up with the Jones' mentality.
But there are many issues to be addressed with that being said, so I'll stop here. But I do want to talk about lending in terms of the Fed and monetary policy, and laws, also.
Oh yes! And healthcare, too. That one gets my goat. I have seen too many people in the situation like Denise's where it is just not practical what so ever to buy coverage. Before I married my husband my opinion was harsh towards those who failed to have coverage and used the ER as an everday doctor's office. I was very ignorant, I only understood a one-sided view.
Everbody has there excuses has to why their rates are so high...
Research for more medicine and cures, advertisements, liability insurance and legal fees, unpaid services rendered...and feel free to add to my list of BS!
I do realize that doctors, hospitals and insurance carriers need to cover costs and profit. But we have hit a dead-end, the only option used is to raise rates and say "we can't help it". It is a vicious cycle.
I personally know small business owners who want to pay 100% of their employees coverage (and did at one time), but just can't do it any longer as a matter of survival. Over the past 10 years they have had to offer less and less of the benefit. And it saddens them deeply.
Our family does have coverage, we pay part of it and it still takes a pretty chunk from the check. And we hardly use it ever! Yes, I am grateful for that fact, but as we get older I worry about future rates and illnesses. Right now I fear that as congress and the president fight the issue out...rates will hit the roof... Or blow the roof off!
Everything is rising, but not the bottom line of our paycheck. We are just grateful to have a paycheck, as we should be given the circumstances of so many others. We've been patiently riding this all out but we are getting anxious to start FEELING some postive change for the "simple ones"! Hah
I did not vote for Obama, but was relieved when he was voted into office...weird I know. I was grateful to see we would have a leader that wasn't sheltered from "real life". And who didn't have the social advantages that all the others have had. But we'll see how it all plays out. I'm sick of political games and nonsense, too. I do not believe that obama has purposely lied to the public about anything or mis-represented himself...by all means tell me in your own words what you think on that! I understand the theories behind democracy and capitalism, but moral issues, integrity and cost-efficiency mix things up a bit! Wouldn't you say?
(Sorry I got a little off track there) hah!
BrendaStar...no rush on your thoughts... I'll check up for you throughout the day!
Denise...I hope all is well, sorry to here of the passing of your uncle(?).
Catch you all later:)
Boogie...hugh frant adorable? Eck!
Friends...we really need to look into a different venue!
Any thoughts?
I like google. I never have used facebook or myspace. I tried to hook up with nag on yahoo, but I think I need to open an account with yahoo on a pc first.
Coonhound, I agree with your suggestion that we find another place to meet and communicate.
I still hope that you can find a way to participate in my Yahoo discussion group. The problem with venues such as Facebook is that they don't facilitate longer and deeper discussions the way Yahoo Groups do.
Then, of course, we can communicate on my blog if I post something there that tickles your fancy, such as my post yesterday on which you commented about whether blackmail should be a criminal offense.
And we can also communicate by e-mail if we trust one another enough.:-)
Speaking of my blog, I'm preparing to start a new blog devoted completely to the issue of free will vs determinism. In it, I will summarize my ongoing readings in the area, and, later, when I've learned more, I'll be able to engage in more learned reflections on the issue there.
I hope that we'll all find ways to stay in touch.
You've been wondering where I've been lately. I decided that I'd make my points here, for what good it did or didn't do, and that it was time to largely move on. And my discussions here have spurred me to learn more about the free will vs determinism issue.
Correction to the last paragraph of previous comment: "I decided that I'd MADE [in place of "make] my points here..."
Coonhound, please don't get me started on healthcare. :-) I'll simply say now that in my ever-so-humble opinion, :-) radical things need to be done to overhaul our healthcare system to make it much more accessible and affordable to ALL without "breaking the bank."
I personally believe in a single-payer system--Medicare for all, if you will. But since that doesn't seem practicable in the foreseeable future, I'd still like to see health insurance move away from the stifling absurdity of an employer-based system.
I further believe that the predominately conservative notion that healthcare is a privilege and not a basic right has to be replaced by the bedrock principle that healthcare is a basic right and not a privilege. Indeed, it should be seen as as much a right as the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." For how can you live or pursue happiness if you get really sick or badly injured and you can't access good healthcare?
But beyond that, I believe that we need to follow the suggestions of people like Dr. Andrew Weil in fostering more of a health-based and less an "intervention"-based healthcare system. That is, we need to focus less on treating health problems after they've arisen and much more on preventing them in the first place through educating people in healthier lifestyles and incentivizing and otherwise encouraging them to live what they've learned, and through what Weil, who's a pioneer in the field, calls "integrative medicine" that combines the best of conventional and alternative medical approaches and uses less expensive, "lower-tech" diagnostic, therapeutic, and medicinal alternatives whenever possible.
Nagarjuna,
Thanks for the update.
Can you post your yahoo link again for me so I don't have to flip through these pages?
So, are you going to respond to my blackmail answer or not (on your blog)?
I'm still contemplating on your Madoff Madness! Hah!
Where's your email posted anyway?
Nagarjuna...
Basic right vs privelage
Eww, that's a good one for your blog!
Coonhound, you can access my e-mail by clicking on my username here and going to my profile page where you can click on my e-mail link.

Finally, I'll thank you here for your comment on my blog and reply to your comment there if I can think of anything worthwhile to ad to what you wrote.
I still have to say, in passing, that I'm having trouble thinking of a good justification for making blackmail illegal, even though I'd sure like to think of one or find one somewhere. Someone suggested in another forum that blackmail should be illegal because of its COERCIVE nature That is, it can compel us to do things we don't want to do. But, again, I say that if the means used to coerce involves a legal activity such as disclosing legally obtained information about a person's private life, I can't see why the additional element of requesting money not to disclose this information should make the whole thing a criminal act.
Perhaps Samantha and Boogieman would like to weigh in on this.
Coonhound, I've blogged before on how I think healthcare should be a right and not a privilege. But after I read Weil's book and do some more research on the matter, I intend to blog more on healthcare.
Anyway, I have to be at a bowing tournament at 10:30, and I need to get ready. See you later.
I'll post my blog entry from yesterday here for those who didn't see it and might want to read it, think about it, or even comment on it here.
Should Blackmail Be a Crime?
You've probably heard the big story about the attempted blackmail of David Letterman. A CBS News producer threatened to release information about Letterman having had sexual relations with some of his female staff unless Letterman paid him $2,000,000. Letterman told his lawyer, his lawyer set up meetings with the would-be blackmailer and contacted the authorities, and the end result was that the blackmailer was arrested after Letterman testified before a grand jury. Then, last night, Letterman disclosed all of this during a segment of "The Late Show."
I don't know when Letterman, who recently married a woman with whom he's been involved for over twenty years and has one child with her, had these sexual encounters with female staff members. And my purpose in bringing up this story is not to discuss the morality of his sexual behavior. I want to discuss something else.
First off, I'm glad he reported the blackmail attempt to the authorities instead of paying the money. I despise blackmail, and, if there's going to be a law against it, then I want it socked to anyone and everyone who tries to perpetrate it. But, having said that, when I ask myself if blackmail should be prohibited by law, I feel a little perplexed. Why? Because, if you really think
about it, even though blackmail seems morally reprehensible, does its egregiousness rise to the level of criminality?
Well, obviously it DOES rise to it in the sense that it IS a crime. But SHOULD it be a crime? After all, if the guy who tried to blackmail Letterman had simply released the information he threatened to release without demanding money not to release it, there's no law against THAT.
So, why IS there a law against the extra component of asking for money not to release the information?
Of course, blackmail is a form of extortion. But extortion can include threatening to do something ILLEGAL to someone if one isn't compensated in some way for not doing it. But, again, releasing information to the public about an adult's sexual escapades is not illegal in and of itself, so why should threatening to do something legal if one isn't paid not to be a crime?
I'm not saying that I feel convinced that there shouldn't be such a law. On an emotional level, I'm glad this guy got arrested, and I hope he spends the next few years in prison and that others are deterred from trying to do what he did. But, on an intellectual level, I'm not sure I
can justify making blackmail a crime. Can you?
What do you think?
Nagarjuna,
You say you are starting a new blog on free will vs determinism and you will be summarizing your on-going readings...
Idea...
how about posting the readings in advance. It will promote a more active participation.
Sort of a "Book Blog" but post the readings so followers can read along at your pace, if they want to.
And for those that diligently participate...allow them to pick up book! (Hee hee hee)
I like that idea.
Good morning everyone.
Thank you to everyone for showing concern for my uncle. I cant think well enough to thank each one of you personally. My mother is so torn up about her brother. I have no clue as to what I can do for her, to even let her know that I care. She says we do not have to go hang out with her, but I am not sure if I should anyhow, or not. This is not something that I can use one of my own personal experiences to tell myself what I would want, so I could do it for her, because my mother and I are different persons. Very different. And I think my presence at this time wouldnt make her feel better. But then again, it might. She is the type that when I enter the room, she will come give me a hug and she will call me baby and she will cry. I hate hugs. I feel uncomfortable when my mother shows love to me, and I absolutely HATE to see her cry. But I will have to give her hugs and hold her to make her feel better, I guess. We will sit there like stupids. And she will not feel any better. My middle son is with her. He is a complete angel. He has always been the caring one of all of my boys. I compare him and his older brother to Goofus and Gallant from the Highlights magazines that used to be in Doctors office waiting rooms. He is Gallant. Anyhow, sorry for writing and writing. While writing to you guys, regardless if you read or not, I feel that I have someone to say my feelings and thoughts to.
When I thought about using a different place of communicating other than this blog, I thought about the new persons, like Samantha, that might come to THIS blog, and join in later. If we all moved to a different location, those that might join in later, the way Samantha did, might not have the opportunity.
Anyhow, I wish you all the best day possible. I am going to be cleaning my house, and trying to figure out what to do about my Mommy. I havent called her yet this morning. I wish we had a closer relationship, I love her so much. :(
The way I feel about blackmail is this. I think whatever David Letterman wants to do in his personal life is his business. If he cheats on his wife, that is between him and his wife. I also feel that way with Presidents. Even though, I guess they are supposed to be upstanding citizens and role models, I do not care if they are whores. I know plenty of whores in many industries that do their jobs perfectly, even though they have many boyfriends. Does that make sense? Being promiscuous isnt against the law. Im not sure if cheating on your wife is against the law. But if I am a computer tech that sleeps with 30 men in a week, but I cleared your computer faster and cheaper than any other computer tech, why would you care what I do in my personal life?
At the same time, like Nagarjuna said before, I cannot easily be shamed. I try not to do anything that I have to "hide" from the public. I do not do things that I would have to keep in secret. But my personal life is nobodys business, but if people started talking about what I do, I would not be ashamed or worried.
On a lighter note though, I always threaten the man that is supposed to buy my Camaro. I tell him that I am going to slander his name in the streets, and make up lies about him in our local Topix. lol He knows I am playing. I tell him I am going to photoshop some pictures of him doing weird things, too. Which, by the way, is so possible, so if I was being blackmailed for something that was true, I would blame it on photoshopping and technology anyhow, and say all of the proof was false. lol
Coonhound, if not Hugh Grant, who is your kind star?
In this movie, Julie Roberts admitted or said that it took two very expensive surgeries to make her face beautiful. She pointed to her lips and to her nose. I wonder, I always thought the lips were done.... even though they do bring out a lot, I have always thought the doctor screwed up a bit by taking away all natural shape of them and just filled them round.
hmmm "YouTube is down for maintenance and will be back up shortly"
Typhoon Parma slammed into the already storm-battered Philippines on Saturday afternoon, forcing tens of thousands of people to flee their homes for safer shelter.
A NASA satellite image shows Typhoon Parma as it heads towards the Philippines.
At 5 p.m (5 a.m. ET), Parma, known locally as Typhoon Pepeng, had maximum sustained winds of 148 kph ( 92 mph) with gusts as high as 185 kph (115mph) as it made landfall in a rural region of fishermen and farmers in Luzon, the largest of the Philippine islands.
The winds whipped the coastline and felled power lines in northernmost Cagayan Province. Debris littered the roads, making evacuations even more difficult.
Parma veered off to the north, avoiding a direct hit on heavily populated Manila. But the real menace in the Philippines capital was not wind. It was water, and there was no escape from it with Parma.
The storm could dump as much as 8 to 20 inches of rain in areas still water-logged from last week's Typhoon Ketsana. That storm resulted in the heaviest rainfall in 40 years and at one point, 80 percent of Manila was submerged.
Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro appealed to Filipinos to remain in shelters even if they were in cities and towns not directly in Parma's path. He said he was worried about massive flooding and possible mudslides in mountainous regions.
The government deployed 10,000 troops to help with rescue and relief operations as frightened Filipinos prepared for the worst.
World Vision, the Christian humanitarian organization, was planning to launch relief operations Saturday evening in Isabela Province, one of the areas slammed by Parma. The group also plans assistance for nearby Cagayan province, whose capital, Tuguegarao, is being hit hard by Parma's strong winds.
Arturo Fidelino, a telecommunications executive in Manila, described panicked people rushing to stock up on essential goods -- drinking water, canned food and electrical supplies.
"We had a traumatic experience when we had Ketsana," he said. "We don't want that to happen again."
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo placed the country "under the state of calamity."

Macapagal-Arroyo said disaster-relief crews in vulnerable areas must be equipped with life-saving kits, boats, portable generators and trucks.
Ketsana, which swallowed whole houses and buses over the weekend, killed 246 in the Philippines. It later strengthened into a typhoon. An additional 38 are missing, the National Disaster Coordinating Council said. The storm affected nearly 2 million people and forced the evacuation of 567,000.
A question asked by the Federal Prosecutor of Elizabeth Smart in the competency hearing of Brian Mitchell
"Q. Did he brag about how much he knew about different
topics or subjects?
A. Yes.
Q. What would he say?
A. He talked about -- I mean, anything that ever came
up, he had to be right. He had to know about it. Like he had
to be the authority there on that topic."
Now who else do we know with these same personality traits?
Hah!
Where did u find that?
Here is another.... I find Elizabeth strikingly similar to a Christian to describe this pedophile Brian Mitchell so ironically the exact same as other Christians have done in this very Blog:
Gee, I wonder where and/or how Christian people, who know nothing of one another come to these same conclusions:
Q. Finally, Elizabeth, what words would you use to
describe the defendant's character?
A. Evil, wicked, manipulative, sneaky, slimy, selfish,
greedy, not spiritual, not religious, not close to God.
It is very clear this Brian Mitchell red parts of the bible to try to brainwash, but it is very clear he did not read that those who steal another person shall be put to death.
Coonhound: http://media.bonnint.net/slc/1473/147302/14730295.pdf
its a transcript of the hearing.
I'll have to finish reading this to see if the prosecution picked up on this or not, but this very clearly gives away to the fact that Brian Mitchell is very competent to stand trial for, and "help with his defense" at said trial. This was a question by Brian's defense counsel:
Q. Did he ever say something like, you know, if this
were to be true don't let them find us?
A. Yes.
Q. So do you remember when he said that?
A. It's been so long. But to the best of my memory,
it was as the car was driving by.
Now how would Brian Mitchell's defense counsel know that Brian Mitchell said this if Brian Mitchell was not able to give him this information to ask at this hearing. BAAAHHHHHH I hope to read that we have intelligent Prosecutors at re-direct in my continued reading!!!!

It says "some say the government had to demolish Tower 7 because it's where plans were hatched for a massive conspiracy on 9/11"
Do you have any sites or location where there might be factual documentation that there were in fact "plans"?
Thanks.
Coonhound, are you still around or are you reading the transcript of Elizabeth Smart's testimony?
Samantha are you here?
