I'm not suggesting that if you take two families, one that has had a child murdered and one that has lost its savings and home are going to experience the same amount of pain and devastation. Clearly, in virtually all cases, the family that lost the child to murder is going to be hurt worse, even if there is no objective way or anti-hedonic calculus, so to speak, to compute this.
But suppose you have one family that has lost a child to murder and a hundred or a thousand that are suffering severe and long lasting economic dislocation and are coming apart at the seams.
My suggestion is that if you weighed the pain and destructiveness of the one family that lost its child to murder against the hundred or thousand families economically devastated, the latter would be as bad as the former or maybe even worse.
I don't presume to know this for sure. It was my speculation. Yo can speculate your way to a different conclusion. But that's a primary purpose of forums like this--to discuss our opinions and speculations, and, ideally, without mocking one another or telling each other to "shut" up because we don't like what the other has to say, sometimes before we even understand it fully.

Which is why I think we all should maybe try to be extra cautious of saying anything negative to you, our little flower power child.

I realize that I've made a mistake here today. I came back and tried to reconcile too soon, while tensions still ran high from yesterday. I should have given things a day or a few days to cool off.
I guess I'm inpatient in that way. If I respect someone enough to dialogue with them, I want to follow the old maxim of never going to sleep on a conflict with them. Well, I went to sleep last night with yesterday's conflict still unresolved, and I didn't want to go another day or even another hour with it unresolved today.

How far do you feel that you have gotten in your research? How far have you gotten in connecting with other people that have this same interest? How far do you and the others plan to go with your findings? How possible do you feel it will be to reach success in what your goal is?
I would like to hear your thoughts on the goals you would like to reach, and what exact outcome you are seeking. If you could just sum it up to me by saying something like. Well, so far, we have found enough evidence that by the time we finish, so and so will be behind bars. Or something simple like that, please.
You can describe in detail, those findings to me later if you wish.
I am also curious to know just what exactly it is that Boogie and Freak hope to accomplish in all of their research that they have done on Jaycee Dugard's case. Although I realize that they most likely will never come here to have a serious conversation with me on a serious level.
