I can't believe how self-important this guy is. Does he honestly think people will find the story of how he abducted an 11 year old girl from her home, fathered two daughters with her (one when she was only fourteen), and forced them to live in the backyard, "heart warming"? He claims his outlook on life changed once Jaycee had their first child. If that was true, why didn't he develop a concience? Why didn't he release Jaycee and turn himself in? Or why didn't he just release Jaycee? Ugh, he sickens me! And the fact that this all happened so close to where I live and where I've lived, disturbs me greatly.
I bet they keep this piece of shit out of general population in prison.

Whomever witnessed that he had these girls with him, and many must have over 18 years, are to blame as well. Apparently police were contacted years ago and dropped the ball. Its not enough to be deemed crazy, he has to show diminished capacity to know right from wrong. His efforts to cover his crime by hiding the original captive demonstrate he knew he'd committed a crime. His interview comments about "somthing absolutely disgusting" with him in the beginning that turns his life around also looks like an admission of guilt to me.

I agree with another poster; although this guy has always--obviously--been of unsound mind, I suspect that he's been building a case for his insanity for years, knowing that he'd eventually turn himself in. His blog blatherings are just that; they don't even make sense in a screwed-up way. They--and his other endeavors (e.g., having those people sign "affidavits")--look like hurry-up efforts he made so that his future attorney can plead insanity.
I can't think of a punishment I'd rather not face than just having to *be* him, period. Whatever happens, Kharma will ensure he "learns his lesson" --and then some! Let's just hope that Jaycee and those two girls can, somehow, know some kind of peace. I can't imagine how her family must feel--and I'm glad I can't. I hope they can escape the mental illness that likely waits for anyone whose been through the torture they have!

I agree with several other posters here: this blog was a setup. He was getting tired of her and perhaps wants some fresh meat when they parole him again...
Part of me wants to blame the wife, but part of me wonders if she was as much of a victim as the others. He could have kidnapped her and forced her to marry him, who knows? She could have set him onto another victim so that it would make her torture easier.
I'm NOT condoning her actions, or his, but would like to raise the possibility. There isn't much talk about the wifey in the news.
One thing to consider: From April to August 1993 he was in jail for a parole violation. Which means they could have ALL escaped then, before the first child was born. Why didn't the wife take the kid and run to the cops when she had this chance when hubby was in jail? That is what puzzles the daylights out if me, if she is abused as well.

I don't believe stealing a child can be excused. What he wrote about 'voices' should not be ignored however. Schizoprenics experience voices, but this man even as evil as he is, attempts to say something about 'voices' that he learned from his own experiences: examine them. Don't take them without evaluating them, they may seem to be your own thought voices and they are not. I suggest that he not be so readily condemned, what he says is not to be dismissed. I am so glad this young girl was protected from becoming evil herself. Perhaps she did influence him, she seems an extraordinarily good person. Bless her.
